Hey everyone i thought that i would do a response post to
what Christina posted about the Olympics and i decided to do 10 facts that you
probably didn't know about the Olympics
1. The Hunger games was based on the Olympics and gladiator
games which both started in Greece
2. Its moto is Citius, Altius, Fortius ("Swifter,
Higher, Stronger").
3. At the second modern olympis in 1900 women were first
aloud to be in them
4. There were no Olympic Games in 1916, 1940, or 1944
because of World War I and World War II,
5.Walt disney was once the corodinator of the opening
ceremony in 1960
6. the godl medals are actually made out of silver (but its
still an honor to have silver)
7. At least one of the olympic ring colors are in the flags
on every nation
8. although its disgusting ancient olympics were performed in the nude
9. the olympics have never been hosted in africa, south
america, and antartica (what a perfect place to host the winter olympics)
10. This year in 2012 London is the first city to host
olympics for three times.
